Middle of the Night Musings

so this weekend is a major prom weekend so I’ve been seeing a ton of adorable teenagers dressed to the nines. Alongside all of these photos has been the term “on fleek”. What the heck? Since I have a little time (during our second middle of the night feed), I googled this phrase.  A Brief History of ” On Fleek” So there you have it!  I now feel really old and out of touch. Bye, bye Swaddle 

Before Téo was born, I knew one thing for certain: I would follow Dr. Karp’s 5 S’s. For those of you that aren’t familiar (Happiest Baby on the Block): Swaddling Side/stomach position Swinging Shushing Sucking While still in the hospital, the nurses taught us how to swaddle the baby using a blanket…easy peasy! Yea right, Téo quickly learned to break out of the blanket swaddle (I’d say this happened around day 4). Not to mention he quickly became too long for most of the blankets we were using. Concrete Boobs

A friend of mine recently had a baby and so naturally we have been talking about the joys that come with being a first time mom and something that keeps coming up is “concrete boobs”. It’s not really something I remember reading about during the pregnancy and had no clue what to expect when it came to the sensations that come with breastfeeding. April Fool’s on Me

Last year while at a volleyball tournament, I along with my team thought it’d be funny to post this picture, with no caption:   We did it a few days before April 1st so no one really thought it was a joke.
